Job Description & Role Summary
S S Solution is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical & Mining Survey Specialist to lead satellite DGPS topographical mapping and 3D aerial LiDAR terrain modeling across our opencast mining operations in West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute millimeter-precision DGPS topographical surveys for overburden excavation and mineral haulage roads.
- Process drone LiDAR point-cloud data using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Surpac.
- Conduct geological slope stability analysis and subsurface core sample testing.
- Prepare daily volume calculations, bench cut plans, and regulatory DGMS safety compliance reports.
- Coordinate directly with project directors and field heavy equipment teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Mining Engineering, Geoinformatics, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on field experience in heavy opencast mining or large-scale civil earthworks.
- Proficiency with Leica / Trimble DGPS instruments and drone survey flight controllers.
- Valid DGMS Mine Surveyor Certificate is highly desirable.
